Due Monday, Aug 23: In preparation for our first 3-hour class meeting, there is an assignment for you to complete BEFORE class on Monday:

[1] Read and study the textbook chapters 1-3 (as well as the introductory material in the textbook).

[2]  Complete Workbook assignments for Chapters 2 and 3. (Also work on memorizing vocab words for Ch. 3.)

[3] Memorize the Greek alphabet–the Greek letters, the name of the Greek letters, and the English transliteration of the Greek letters.  Your first quiz will be at the end of class on Monday over the Greek alphabet.  In order to help you learn the alphabet, please use my two handouts called Greek Alphabet and Greek Alphabet Practice Sheet.
