NOTE WELL: When you’re completing HW on our Revelation passages, you should have several reference works *opened* and being consulted:

      • Your Greek NT for reading texts and looking up other passages that are pointed out in your resources.
      • Mounce’s Greek intro grammar and appendixes so that you can view noun, adjective, pronoun, & verb paradigms and principal parts, along with his glossary (but do not substitute his glossary for use of a real Greek lexicon, since the Mounce glossary is limited to his textbook)
      • Wallace’s Basics of NT  Syntax (and any other more advanced Greek grammars that you have access to and know how to use, like BDF, Robertson, etc.)
      • Greek lexicon: BDAG is highly recommended and on your list per the syllabus. If you don’t have access to it, you may for the present consult the Liddell-Scott-Jones Greek lexicon (it covers Greek before and after the NT period). You can access it at stepbible.org, where are free online Bible program is available, courtesy of Tyndale House (Cambridge). Watch this short intro video to see what it can do. When you want to use it to study Revelation, you’ll need to choose the SBL Greek NT (abbreviated SBLG)–watch the beginning of that video to see how to choose a text to display. When you click on a Greek word, the “Word Info” pane will pop up on the right and you can scroll down to the LSJ lexical entry.
      • Commentaries by Beale and Mathewson. Consult each verse to see if you’re on the right track in your analysis and interpretation.
