[3] Analyze and prepare to discuss the book of 3 John (15 verses).  You will do this by doing the following on your own:  (a) Provide a suitable English gloss of the verses.  You can do this on the sheets containing the Greek text that I handed out.  (b) Parse all words that you do not know how to parse without looking up something to help you. Use the parsing sheets I gave you for this.  (c) Write down any syntax notes where you find interesting things like the use of the participle, how an adjective is being used, etc. You can do this, either on the parsing sheets, or on the sheets with running Greek text.  (d) Use BDAG to look up any words that are new to you: read the entry and determine which English gloss provided by BDAG best fits the context.
