Due Tuesday, May 14: In preparation for our first class meeting, there is an assignment for you to complete BEFORE class on Tuesday:

[1] Read and study the Mounce textbook chapters 1-4.

[2]  Complete the Mounce workbook exercises for Chapters 3 and 4.

[3] Memorize the Greek alphabet–the Greek letters, the name of the Greek letters, and the English transliteration of the Greek letters.  Your first quiz will be at the end of class on Monday over the Greek alphabet.  In order to help you learn the alphabet, please use my two handouts called Greek Alphabet and Greek Alphabet Practice Sheet. As well, Mounce has a couple of free lectures available, and Chapters 3 and 4 are among his free ones.  Here are the links to listen to Mounce teaching the alphabet and its sounds (as well as Ch. 4 materials):
